The Tim Holtz Experience

I wanted to let you know that I have another blog call Crane's Creations in which I post all my paper crafting creations. I am trying to keep my home DIY project and crafting project separated but form time to time I will post them up in both blogs so everyone can see a different part of me. Let me tell you about my experience attending a crafting class with Tim Holtz.

It was my first time attending a craft class and one with Tim Holtz who is a kind of super star in the crafting community. I got there an hour early due to the big response to purchasing the tickets, the store had over 50 people trying to sign up not including the people who where phoning in to sign up.  Long and behold there where already over 50 people there waiting in line to enter the room where the class would take place.

You want to know the funniest part was when the doors opened the ladies ran in to get the best seat possible. I though I was in a race. I've never seen grown women run for anything before. It really did not matter to me because I still got a good seat. The reason being that I was by myself and everyone wanted to find seats with there friends.

Before the class started Tim was signing autographs. He was so down to earth, I would love to take another class with him.

Here is my heart in progress during the class. I learned so many new techniques that I plan to use and show you guys.

Here the finished broken heart. I just love it! I was so giddy after class but exhausted and I don't get up at 6:30 am very often and the class was 3 hrs long and then I spent and hour purchasing some goodies.

This is my new work in progress, I am using a dunny with metallic foil from ranger to cover it and the new techniques I learned in class. It's turning out very nicely and I hope to show it to you all really soon.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Till Later,
